The CDJ-3000 is Pioneer's flagship multi-player, known for its powerful processing and advanced features.
- Performance and processing: An advanced Micro-Processing Unit (MPU) provides rock-solid stability and faster load times for tracks and hot cues.
- Display: It features a larger, 9-inch high-resolution touchscreen with a customizable interface. New features like Touch Preview and Touch Cue allow you to listen to track sections without loading them to the deck.
- Audio quality: Enhanced audio processing and a new design unify the internal audio processing at 96kHz/32-bit floating, resulting in high-resolution, rich sound.
- Playability: The unit features a redesigned, smoother jog wheel with reduced latency. It also includes eight horizontally placed Hot Cue buttons for more intuitive control.
- Key features for creative mixing:
- Key Sync and Key Shift: Automatically or manually change a track's key to mix harmonically with other tracks.
- Stacked Waveform: View the expanded waveform of the master deck and the track you are cueing simultaneously to easily find mix points.
- Connectivity: The multiplayer features a Gigabit Ethernet port for Pro DJ Link, allowing synchronization of up to six decks and lighting effects.

- New effects: The Beat FX section includes new effects like Mobius, Triplet Filter, and Triplet Roll. A "Center Lock" feature for the Sound Color FX prevents accidentally rotating past the midpoint.
- Enhanced microphone section: A first for Pioneer DJ mixers, it includes a phantom power input, allowing you to connect a high-quality condenser microphone. It also comes with three new mic effects.
- Connectivity: The DJM-A9 has expanded connectivity, including a Bluetooth input for wireless audio streaming and dual USB Type-B and USB Type-C ports for seamless DJ changeovers.
